Last year we also started TwoManSync which is a clearance and music supervision activity where we assist film and TV production companies in clearing the music rights in their projects as well as – where possible – assisting them in finding the right music for the right project.
Neighboring rights refer to the legal right to perform or broadcast recorded music in public. Musicians and sound recording owners receive these royalties when their recording is performed or broadcasted on radio, streaming services, new media, TV, in a public place such as a club or restaurant.
A music publisher's role is to make deals with songwriters, promote the songs their songwriters compose to musicians and anyone else who may need a song for advertising, a movie, a promotional campaign, etc., issue licenses for the use of the songs they represent, and collect licensing fees.
