Africanism is a France based label, since 2001. A real movement of artists, designed a unique sound melted in a tribal afro-house mood. Africanism consists of Djs and mixers,who collaborate with African-based artists and acts.
Many producers and Djs that have been releasing music through the label Africanism, have found home for their mood and style and have droven their music attitude by passion and sexy vibes. Bunch of drums and tribal instruments have always delighted the atmosphere of this music catalogue. In 2005, Tommy Boy Records bought the project to its label in the United States and released its first single from Africanism III set, "Summer Moon". This lead-off track went to number one on the Billboard Hot Dance Club Play chart the week of July 23, 2005. "Hard" became the act's second U.S. dance chart-topper in November 2006.
Among the artists involved Africanism includes: Bob Sinclar , Martin Solveig, David Guetta, Yves Larock, DJ Gregory (Gregory Darsa), Dj Yellow,Malinga Five, Joachim Garraud, Tim Deluxe, KC Flightt, Bjorn Lundt, Yvan Voice, Osibisa, Tom & Joyce, Tony Allen, NaSSau, Lekan Babalola, Jacob Desvarieux/Kassav, Shinichi Osawa, Salomé de Bahia, Liquid People, Eddie Amador, House Rules, Jeff Kellner, Légo and Those Usual Suspects.
This year Bob Sinclar with Dj Yellow and Dj Gregory decided to join their forces and relaunch their favourite party. The first kick-off party couldn't been anywhere else except of Amsterdam. During the ADE 2018, these three Djs gave an unforgettable gig at La Favela. That was only the beggining!
