Lost Frequencies

Felix De Laet, better known by his moniker Lost Frequencies, has soared to success in the international music industry on many levels. Releasing his global smash hit ‘Are You With Me’ back in 2014 and quickly cementing himself as a name to watch, the track rapidly ascended by hitting multi-platinum status and taking the #1 spot in 18 countries. Take into further account that Lost Frequencies was the first Belgian artist to secure his first 5 hit singles charting at the #1 spot on the Ultratop official Belgian charts, aswell as the first Belgian artist to hit #1 in the UK, he went on to release his long-awaited debut album ‘Less Is More’ in 2016 via Armin Van Buuren’s iconic Armada imprint that dazzled globally, certifying a future star for the next generation. Lost Frequencies also firmly established himself as one of the strongest, fastest rising talents with his debut entry into the 2017 DJ Mag poll at #26, the highest new entry of any artist this year.

As the accolades multiplied for Lost Frequencies, he not only took away ‘Best Breakthrough Artist’ at the Red Bull Elektropedia Awards in 2015, but also emerged victorious in the ‘Dance International’ and ‘Hit of The Year’ categories at the ECHO award ceremony (comparable with the U.S. Grammy’s), beating the likes of Adele on the latter to two of Germany’s most important music awards. Graduating to taking ‘Dance Act Of The Year’ at the Music Industry Awards to kick off 2017 in fashion, he also embarked on huge North American Arena run with fellow chart-dominators The Chainsmokers earlier in June, signalling 2017 as yet another year that is continuing to sparkle bright.

Already taking his unmistakable sound to some of the planet’s biggest clubs and recently headlining his own North American Tour, a major achievement for an artist with his whole career still ahead of him, hosting his own ‘Lost Frequencies & Friends’ party at the renowned Amsterdam Dance Event for two consecutive years (2016 & 2017), headlining his own sold-out arena spectacle in his home country of Belgium in taking his intimate ‘Less Is More’ live concept, laden with LED strips and laser bars, to 7,000 adoring fans with the music taking centre stage. With another hosting of his own arena at Tomorrowland, sets at Tomorrowland Brasil, Lollapalooza Berlin and a colossal Coachella festival date that stood out amongst his zig-zag of global performances already last summer, 2017 has been another Lost-dominated festival season. Turning to Ibiza, Lost Frequencies has made appearances at the island’s biggest, best and most domineering shows, including smashing solo sets at the newly-minted Hï, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike’s ‘Garden Of Madness’, Martin Garrix’s Multiply and Kygo’s Sunday residency across the Sun-soaked months.

Proving that he is no one-trick pony in the studio, ‘Reality’ evidenced as another major smash hit from the young prodigy that flew to platinum status in no less than 7 territories, blossoming further to become one of the most Shazamed anthems of the year by users that also added the track to the company’s ‘Hall Of Fame’ rankings, his unstoppable premise is solidified further as ‘What Is Love’ also flew to Platinum. Add to this an official remix of Major Lazer, Justin Bieber & MØ’s ‘Cold Water’ and the unearthing of the tropical-tipped ‘All Or Nothing’ blowing up in February, the hits just keep on coming. Collaborating with Belgian Drum & Bass kingpin Netsky, the pair combine deep house with bass-y vibes as ‘Here With You’ is a fresh mix of Lost Frequencies’ signature guitar sounds combined with Netsky’s bass power, the whole thing is guided by heartfelt vocals from Amy Yo and has amassed over 10 million streams and counting already and spent 6 weeks atop the Belgian Ultratop Dance Chart. From show-stopping live appearances, to career-making studio hits, the building blocks aren’t just in place for Felix, he’s soaring to a meteoric rise at his own accord.
