Ant LaRock

Ant is a true master of music both on & off on the decks. His passion towards his craft is clear through his skill in making music and in his music selection. Ant first picked up a guitar at the age of 12 and then studied jazz at 16. This talent filtered through to electronic music in 1999 when Ant started producing electronic music & DJing, which he instantly fell in love with.

Ant was discovered in 2014 when his first ever house track was picked up by Todd Terry's InHouse Records, which instantly propelled him amongst House royalty. After several more highly accredited releases, Ant was asked to do some major label releases in 2015 on Giorgio Moroder's pairing with Kyle Minogue for "Right Here Right Now" and future pop icon Petite Meller's "Babylove". Ant's contributions enabled both singles land heavily on the US Billboard charts and the dance floors worldwide. As a direct result of this success, Ant also produced a dirty floor-stomper for Charlotte Devaney's collaboration with Snoop Dogg on Virgin/EMI.

During this time, Todd “The God” Terry adopted Ant as his protégé and a close friendship also formed. In April 2015, a collaboration Todd himself, resulted in the Ministry of Sound release of "Back Around" and a subsequent remix EP package on InHouse.

2016 went with a bang for Ant with a fresh EP on the venerable Nervous Records and continued success with releases on InHouse, Brobot, Drop Ready, Nervous and Dopewax. Ant was also featured on Armand Van Helden’s ‘Extra Dimensional’ album with Zhao on ‘Sacred Geometry’, which came out on Spinnin’ Records and was heavily supported by and played out on BBC Radio 1. Kenny Dope then did a remix package of his track ‘Sanctuary’ (featuring Agency) out on Dopewax, which was a strong nod towards the growing respect and status of Ant within the industry elite.  Key gigs included TBA Brooklyn, Le Bain New York, Pikes Ibiza and Halcyon San Francisco.

2017 was a huge leap forward for Ant as his releases have broadened onto respected labels Spacedisco and Monoside Records whilst continuing regular releases with Nervous, InHouse & Dopewax. Ant has played some of the worlds most respected venues this year including Halcyon SF, Cielo New York, Hi Ibiza and Claire Amsterdam. He was balloted for a Grammy in November 2017, nominated by Kenny Dope himself, which was a true accolade to Ants skill and future longevity as a talented musician. Ant also secured his own monthly radio show on Data Transmission, platforming fresh music content to the world. The show broadcasts the second Friday of every month, 6pm GMT/1pm EST.

2018 saw the launch of Ant’s A Side tour, a concept where Ant headlines events, bringing his A game to parties playing the music he truly loves, starting in Australia, Ibiza and London. A string of forthcoming releases ensure Ant will continue to flourish in the spotlight, across the year ahead.

Constantly innovating, bending genres and refining, Ant LaRock demands attention.
