In 1997 Rick Restanques associated with Michel Bellens (aka Iane Robbertson) started the Gun Records label (they already worked together in 1992 to release a twice-gold hit track: "Fortuna - O Fortuna").
"Funk Innovation", the first release of Syndicate of L.A.W. has been produced in 1997 by Vincent Rouffet aka Vince Ruff, and Rick Restanques aka Funky Rickstar on Gun rec, also later released for Europe by Kingpin (the label of Paul Roberts, the producer and remixer of Bobby Brown & Paris Mica).
Rick, Vince and Spike actually started to work together with the Startraxx bar&record-shop concept in 1998.
The first version of "Right on Time" comes on Gun Records in 1999 (with a remix recorded the day of the solar eclipse).
Six month later, the remix will score #4 in the Hit-des-Clubs-France2000 and many more good scores in the press and media.
In 2001, they performed a tour in Belgium (Vince Ruff, Funky Rickstar & mc Shurakano).
This lead to a new release: "Early in the morning" featuring C. Robert Walker, an American chorus-singer (worked for Puff Daddy, Mary J. Blidge).
After more than one year of parties and promos, they started to work in 2002 on various projects in order to launch the first
album of Syndicate of L.A.W.: "Are You Ready?". This mixed Cd is a concept-LP which gathers all the titles of the band since its early days, and reflects its public performances.
They also released some remixes of "Right on Time", but this time featuring mc Shurakano... and it smashed the billboards...
(#16 in the Belgian sales, #25 in French sales ... both December 2003).
Their video clip (shot in Barcelona, Amsterdam, London and Belgium) had the best feedback from music-televisions such as M6, MCA, MTV,...
Since then, they seduce more and more countries and have gigs all over Europe, including many in France (Techno Parade, Radio-FG at Queen's Paris, shows on NRJ radio, Fun Radio).
Their new Ragga-House track is now out: "@ccelerator".
