SUPERFUNK is a group of house music producers from Marseilles, created during the 1990s and in line with the French Touch disco house movement at that time. Originally formed by Fafa Monteco, Stephane B and Mike 303, they released their first album Hold Up, in collaboration with Ron Carroll and featuring the single Lucky Star, on Virgin Records in 2000. As everybody knows, Lucky Star starring Ron Carroll became a worldwide hit and is still being played today thanks to recent remixes by Dim Chris, Dons, David Vendetta and Tocadisco.
The latest SUPERFUNK single Come back 2010 is now being released on Dj Center records, the label that also released albums and singles of David Vendetta and John Dahlbδck.
SUPERFUNK, these days, operate as a producer/dj duo composed of Stephane B and Mike 303 and are exclusively available for worldwide bookings through DEEJAYBOOKING.COM.
Superfunk did a record with Sandra who made huge pop hit in the eighties with in the « heat of the night ». The record was released all over Europe.
Last year they released « promised Land « a remake of the all time classic song Joe Smooth. Tyeyy will also release new forthcoming single that will remixed by Trentmoller and Fedde le Grand.
Superfunk aka Stephane B and Mike. Stephane B is an international DJ since 16 years old, his style is Electro house garage and rare stuff. And Mike303 have been going around the world since 1985 and his style is different, he mixes the french touch style. They work with virgin labels music and they are any collaboration with DAFT PUNK, MOBY and CASSIUS.
In 1999, they met BOB SINCLAR and decided to make an exchange, « my only love » were born. The same year, a lot of person were contact them to make any remixes of others artists like Moby with « Natural Blues », Felix da Housecat « my life is music », Topazz « the new millenium », and Shirley Bassey « James bond » for them it was a honour and a pleasure to remixe this song. They continued in 2000 with les Nιgresses vertes « Leila », Ce ce peniston « she loves me », Mone « electronic funk », DJ88 Keys, starphunk and cee cee rogers, Cassius and kardek. And in 2001, they remixed mary wilson « england », funkaholics, big world and studio 45. In 2000, their album « HOLD UP » were in store and it was a success thanks to the song « LUCKY STAR », « YOUNG MC » and « LAST DANCE ». The singer « RON CARROL » sang for their in the song « LUCKY STAR » and they decided to continue their collaboration in 2004 for « Promised land » (the official cover with the courtesy of Joe Smooth on KONTOR REC Germany) and in 2005 they created a new song « LOVER » on Chicaria records Germany. In 2006, they are remixed « LUCKY STAR 2006 » (Discoboys remix) also on the KONTOR compilation. In 2001, they mixed Mary Wilson england, funkaholics, big world and studio45. and in 2002, they mixed for M6TV « born to be a star ».
