Lifelike and Kris Menace
Pioneering the « nu-disco »sound, years long before that kind of sound started to invade the worldwide indie charts, Lifelike and Kris Menace have created one of the best French Touch classics ever since Daft Punk’s “Homework” album with their club hit “Discopolis”!
The track was signed to Vulture, a truely underground and higly respected French Touch record Label, owned by Alan Braxe, one of the three producers behind the worldwide best selling dance track ever : Stardust “Music Sounds Better With You”, co-written with Thomas Bangalter from Daft Punk.
«Discopolis» peaked N#1 in Beatport TOP 100 Global charts for more than 3 weeks, but charted at #18 in the Official UK TOP 40, #1 Belgium Ultratop, #3 German Dance Charts, #5 French Dance Charts, #10 Finland/Sweden Official TOP 20…
The track became a massive club anthem, with the help & radio hammering on BBC Radio One from tastermakers like Pete Tong and Annie Mac, it became a huge Ibiza hit, summer 2005/2006.
Besides that, Lifelike and Kris Menace pursue separately a solo career and it wasn’t long until an incredible amount of majors and independent record labels knocked at their door requesting their services for their remixing talents.
