BIOGRAPHY
For over six years, Chris Malinchak and DJ Greg Bahary havebeen collaborating to generate some of the finest house musicthe world has ever heard. Under their monikers Live Element,Native New Yorker’s, and Hott 22, live instrumentation meetssophisticated sample manipulation that ranges from classic tocutting-edge. The first Hott 22 production titled "Dreamscape"from the Sweetreat ep. (Spectrum/Defected RecordsUK.) set thestandard for the Hott 22 sound. Wasting no time they followed upwith the Summer in the City EP "Sunshine Daze" on GossipRecords. The song became an instant club hit, and appeared onBrian Tappert’s Soulfuric Sessions compilation. In the summerof 2002 Hott 22 remixed MOO1’s "So Fly" produced by Mike Grayof Full Intention. Most recently they have completed remixes forKing Street, Soulfuric Recordings, Universal Germany, andGossip Records.
Their live performances are nothing short of "Hott" as the namesuggests. Greg Bahary has been spinning for the last thirteenyears. He currently plays weekly, and maintains a residency atTao, New York City. Greg currently has added a monthlyresidency at the Subliminal Sessions party held at Discotheque,New York City. Musician, Chris Malinchak has been classicallytrained on the piano from the age of four. His incredible musicaltalent has grown throughout the years. He is a master in thestudio both musically and technically. His passion for music isbest showcased playing live over Greg’s weekly DJ set. Chrisperforms playing keyboards, bass, guitar, effects, and many otherear pleasing parts.
