“Uninvited” their 4th hit single Featuring the beautiful voice of Bailey Tzuke had been a huge success in the UK, and international releases were piling up. Their remix of Beyonce and Shakira’s “Beautiful liar” had held the song at the UK’s No 1 spot for weeks some 8 months previous.
Their most recent Kelly Rowland remix was looking set to be a top 10 UK hit and already becoming a massive radio record. They had travelled the world to play some amazing parties and to top it all off - Their first Co-Production for another artist was receiving rapturous reviews. The cherry on the icing of the cake is the artist in question is in fact Kylie.
“Uninvited” was initially a song from Meg Ryan/Nicholas Cage film City of Angels and after watching the club reactions to a demo they created for Ibiza’s space (and having a cd stolen from the DJ booth that ended up doing the rounds on the internet) , the duo decided to take the plunge and record their own version Finding a vocalist who could create the kind of atmosphere needed to record a song such as “Uninvited” could have been a never-ending task, but a long term friendship with one of England’s most amazing voices - Judie Tzuke provided the answer.
Bailey is Judie’s Daughter and recorded the vocal that still pours out of the nation’s radios in just over 2 hours. With the help of an excellent Simon Hale scored string section played by The world renowned London session orchestra, Uninvited was propelled into the hearts and minds of the UK public and it’s success is now being felt across Europe and the US.
The boys are tight lipped about future projects and records but probably for good reason. 2007 was an amazing year for the UK’s favourite electronic production team. It is estimated that there were only 15 weeks in 2007 when the UK top 40 did not contain a Freemasons production of some description. From humble Brighton beginnings Russell Small and James Wiltshire are now discussed in record company offices at the highest levels. * 4 Consecutive Top twenty UK Artist Singles

The most anticipated dance track of the year so far 'Love On My Mind' by Freemasons featuring Amanda Wilson gets released on Loaded Records in August 2005.
Already an anthem from the early copies that sneaked out before Christmas, it's been played five weeks in a row on both Pete Tong and Judge Jules' Radio One shows, topped both the Buzz chart and the Cool Cuts and looks set to be as big as last year's 'Lola's Theme' by Shapeshifters. Here's hoping!
Freemasons are Russell Small and James Wiltshire. Russell enjoyed chart success with Phats and Small in the late 90s, selling over 2 million records world-wide and notching up four top 20 hits. James has also worked with the likes of Donna Summer, Texas and Kylie remix-masters Brothers In Rhythm.
Vocalist Amanda Wilson was discovered down the local karaoke bar. "We found Amanda singing karaoke," says Russell. "We were just blown away by her voice, she's got that soulful thing going on so we approached her and she was really up for it. It took two hours from start to finish once Amanda was on board."
With the track complete, Russ and James headed down to their local, The Freemasons; "Our name came about as a result of a rather cunning deal hatched with the landlord of the pub," explains Russ. "We were having a drink and we were really stuck as to what to call ourselves. The landlord had said if the track got to # 1 he'd give us free drinks for life - we shook on it immediately so it seemed only fair to name ourselves after the pub."
The track came about due to an old Jackie Moore track, 'This Time Baby' from Atlantic Records. "I'd wanted to use the sample for years," says Russ, "I remember when we finished it, we bumped into so many people that had wanted to use it but we got there first."
'Love On My Mind' comes with excellent remixes from King Unique and the Sharp Boys.
