BIOGRAPHY:With his compilation series Luxury House, Exciting House Mix, Francesco Diaz in the Mix and Ibiza House Session, German producer and DJ Francesco Diaz has established himself as the big man for exuberant house parties. All compilations have been released in several editions and can be summarized as music with a rare feelgood groove. Enthusiastic guest book entries on his website mirror the enormous appreciation on the side of his fans who love both compilations and DJ sets of this House gourmet.
Talking about house parties you have to see Francesco's approach in a double sense. On the one hand "Luxury House" (and its successor "Exciting House Mix") was one of the pioneering releases combining club house grooves with sophisticated cocktail lounge atmosphere, establishing a sound likewise designed for stylish living-rooms and sporty cars. His trademark style includes soulful songs and jazzy samples and has equally conquered Ibiza and Scandinavia. On the other hand, Francesco has been touring the world as a DJ for years and has a golden touch at selecting party tracks with style and sophistication. His DJ sets come with a groove to make you smile. To gain a quick idea of his DJ style tune in to the topical "Exciting House Mix for 1001 Nights" showcasing his range between Jazz, Vocal, Latin, and Disco House sugar-coated with a handful of mellow funk.

Back in 1994, Francesco Diaz hit the market with his first project "New Attitude - When I see you again". Shortly afterwards he met George Morel, which finally led to Francesco taking over the management (Europe) for George's label Groove On. His hugely successful compilation series "Luxury House" opened a new chapter. Right from the start "Luxury House for an Exciting Evening at Home" gained him much respect and useful international connections within the house community.
February 2001 witnessed his first single release as Francesco Diaz feat. Karl Frierson "Say a little Prayer" (UCA Records) with remixes of George Morel and Terry Lee Brown jr. - which was exclusively licensed to 6 leading European markets and re-released in 2005 with new mixes on Germany's renowned House Label Muschitunes. With remixes for the likes of Kool and the Gang feat. Lauryn Hill, George Morel, Esteban Garcia and Kim Styles, he underpinned his reputation as top house producer. His "Ibiza House Sessions" of 2001 and 2002 climbed to top positions of the Official Suisse Compilation Charts and were supported by numerous gigs in several European countries. This yearly club-oriented series continues to present seasonal hits of the genre's top stars juxtaposing them with insider's tips and hard-to-get remix versions.
In May 2003 Francesco Diaz renamed his flagship compilation series into "An Exciting House Mix" ("for a Glamorous Weekend in Milano" as volume 1) and managed to further increase the success of the legendary "Luxury House" series. After numerous other compilations the second single Francesco Diaz feat. Benjamin Boyce 2004 "Across The Sea" was released on cult label Muschitunes and rotated on the turntables of Pound Boys, Soul Providers and many more.
After a summer packed with DJ gigs, Francesco Diaz returned to the studio in fall 2004, where he burned all experiences from European clubs and cocktail bars on a small silvery disc named "Francesco Diaz in The Mix 3". Among other wizardry, he rebuilt mid-90s top ten hit "Don't Give Me Life" by Alex Party and surprised with a heartwarming track by Rasmus Faber, which expanded the limits of house to the realm of R B. In spring 2005 he blessed us with his "Exciting House Mix For An Unforgettable Dinner". - a statement of style due to unique track selection and fresh cover design, a modern version of the snowy-white fairy tale.

In 2005, his single release "Time To Turn Around" also turned into a massive hit. Under the project name Denis The Menace Jerry Ropero vs. Francesco Diaz, this track climbed to #1 at US download site Traxsource, entered at #2 of UK Hype Charts and claimed #1 of Scandinavian Dance Charts for four weeks. Judge Jules took this track as opener to his BBC 1 radio show for five consecutive times and featured it in his "Best of 2005" show. Massive support comes from Roger Sanchez (quote: "this track is absolutely awesome!") and Pete Tong who featured the video in his UK TV show.
At the beginning of 2006, Francesco Diaz is well equipped for another thoroughly prolific and rewarding year. While his brand-new "Exciting House Mix for 1001 Nights" compilation is released in spring, he tackled Miami's Winter Music Conference with two big upcoming hits: Francesco Diaz Denis The Menace "In The Sunshine" seems to continue the success story of the last cooperation and his solo effort Francesco Diaz "Life Is Too Short" captivates with the magnificent voice of Bonnie Ferrers (still in your ears from Syke'n'Sugarstarr's "Toda Minha Vida"). His remix of Pino Arduini feat. Michelle Weeks "Victim Of Love" is another Top DJ's choice. A surprisingly deep track with beautiful break and boombastic solution - a treat for every dancefloor!
These recent accomplishments make Francesco Diaz an even more requested DJ. His numerous gigs lately took him to Moskow and Kiev, through Norway and Austria and to Germany's House capital Hamburg. In summer, he will be booked once again on Ibiza.
The popularity of Francesco Diaz is maybe best expressed in his website's guestbook, by enthusiastic entries from fans around the world. Nadia from Canada confesses: "Your beats turned me into a complete house head", while Marcos from Spain adds: "Your CDs are 100felicidad for me!" The most touching revelation comes from Ukranian Sergej who details the vibes of Francesco's sound: "I like your music. It's amazing and good for the soul. I'm just 21 but I want my children to hear such music when they are old enough."
