Last month, Felix Da Housecat returned with his first new album in four years, Narrative Of The Blast Illusion, on New York label No Shame.
The album is classic Felix, albeit a bit less club-oriented and a bit more experimental, featuring the legend Lee Scratch Perry. Perhaps one of the odder moments on the record is “Queer,” a song about a bloodthirsty neighbor with an dangerous obsession. The song features vocals by Argentinian DJ and filmmaker Romina Cohn, who also directs and stars in the video, which we’re excited to premiere below.
“‘Queer’ is not about being straight or gay,” Felix tells us. “‘It’s about an obsessed neighbor who loves you and hates you at same time, doesn’t know what they want or why they have these feelings, but the feelings are mutual.”
