His unique and dynamic sound blends elements of Tech House, Techno, House and Minimal whipping the crowd into a frenzy wherever he plays!

“Wake Turbulence” ended up being number 3 in the Beatport Techno Top 10 of 2008 and was nominated as “Best Techno Track 2008” at the Beatport Music Awards 2009 !
Koen operates, besides on his very own aBZoluT. imprint, on a wide range of leading labels likeToolroom Records, Size, 1605, Deeperfect, Spinnin’, Bosphorus Underground and BluFin.
The man’s biggest success till date though, came when Toolroom Records released Fatboy Slim V Koen Groeneveld “Rockafeller Skank”.
The track skyrocketed to the #1 spot on Beatport’s overall chart in March 2009.
Koen delivered a big number of official remixes for the likes of a.o. Depeche Mode, Umek, David Guetta, Spektre, Tocadisco, Lutzenkirchen, Sander van Doorn Vs. Marco V, Silvio Ecomo, Age of Love, Ferry Corsten’s System F, Robbie Rivera, EDX & Daniel Portman, Stefano Noferini, Noir and80’s legends Yello.
And the remix’ success story did continue…
In Summer 2011 Spinnin Records released Koen’s remix of the all time house classic “Plastic Dreams” by Jaydee.
It became the best selling Techno genre track of Beatport in 2011 !
It dominated the Techno Top 10 for no less than 5 months (!) of which 3 months on #1 !
Collabs with Mark Knight (“Put Your Hands Up”), Ahmet Sendil (“Flaps 128”) and Tocadisco (“Techno Logical World”) pushed our Tech don higher on the ladder of the electronic dance music world in 2009.
Early 2010 Koen ended up at #7, voted out of hundreds of DJ’s, in the House Planet DJ Poll 2009.
“Air Breaks” , a disco influenced Tech House gem, released on Toolroom Records peaked @ #1 in Beatport’s Tech House Top 10 and @ #5 in the overall chart in June 2010.
Together with Addy van der Zwan (Koen’s musical partner since the stone age) he launched a series of Disco-ish Tech House 2 track E.P.’s entiled “Disko Tek” which have been released via _aBZoluT.
“Gotta Move”, “Do It Do It”, “Wheep!” and “He” dominated the Beatport charts in 2010, 2011 and 2012 !
Another big release on Toolroom in 2012: A collab with Tocadisco and Ahmet Sendil by the name of “Oldschool”, while his 2012 ‘solo’ releases like “Gulfstream”, “Birdstrike”, “Stesstjopper” and the peaktime destroyer “Superjet” doing their damage to dance floors worldwide !
Not to mention the collab with Swiss Minimal DJ Liv Stone. Their track “Pizzacato” peaked at #5 in the Beatport Minimal chart.
2013. The amazing “Muzik Maestro” skyrocketed towards the Beatport Techno Top 10 and peaked at #9,
while “Cafe 6” reached #10 in the Techno Top100 on download portal TrackItDown.
Plus another Top 10 Beatport Techno chart position with Koen’s remix of Daniele Petronelli & Electronic Empirte’s “No Doubt, Re-released in December it even peaked at #1, this time in the Minimal chart !!!
Collabs with the likes of Daniele Petronelli and LIv Stone hitting the highest regions of both the Beatport Techno and MInimal charts.
In November Koen’s biggest tune of 2013, “Jetblast” reached the #1 position in the Track It Down Techno Top 100 !
2014 starts with a bang ! #1 and #2 positions in TrackItDown’s Deep / Tech House Top 100 with “Disco Extravaganza” (collab with Quentin Rodriguez) and the Koen Groeneveld & Quentin Rodriguez Remix of Koen’s “Wave”.
Another strong Groeneveld weapon are his most sought after bootlegs. In 2011 he did his magic on the classics “Sky and Sand” by Paul & Fritz Kalkbrenner, DHS’ “House Of God” and
Daft Punk’s “Around The world”.
Not to mention the ones he did of Underworld’s “Born Slippy” and “Cowgirl” and The Chemical Brothers’ “Hey Boy Hey Girl”.
In the Summer of 2013 he dropped his “30 Years Later” Bootleg of the 1983 classic New Order – Blue Monday. Koen is a huge fan of Coldplay and in the Spring of 2014 he dropped a bootleg pack including reworks of “A Sky Full Of Stars”, “Midnight” and “O”.
