Paul helped the band link up with a label and before long a deal was singed with Tommy Boy for their debut album, 3 Feet High and Rising. Maseo's job within the band is as a DJ, spinning beats and keeping things fresh as he draws inspiration from life experiences and contemporary global events.

As well as this, Maseo has also featured as a vocalist on songs such as "Ring Ring Ring (Ha Ha Hey)" (from De La Soul Is Dead) and with the band when then made a guest appearance with acclaimed hip hoppers the Jungle Brothers on their "Doin' Our Own Dang" track.
