Darren Emerson

Darren Emerson has remained at the forefront of electronica, techno and house across the last three decades for good reason.

Solidly consistent productions, inspiring DJ performances and an unquenchable thirst for the new and interesting everywhere it can be found is an irresistible and intoxicating brew.

A true pioneer, Darren is one of the most influential figures in dance music, having collaborated with artists as diverse as Sasha, Depeche Mode, Bjork and The Chemical Brothers, from rocking Glastonbury with Underworld and the perenial classic "Born Slippy" to topping the UK charts with his own label Underwater. Indeed from the age of 18 he was already on his way to creating platinum million selling albums and singles with Underworld followed by some of the most successful DJ mix compilations of all time with Global Underground, Cream, Underwater and more.
Twenty years since the release of the seminal “Dubnobasswithmyheadman”

Darren’s Emerson’s stellar contributions, infectious personality and unwavering dedication has made him one of the most influential figures in dance music.

Put simply; Emerson has worked and collaborated with the best there is. He's played every major club and festival on earth, sold millions of albums with Underworld, rocked the Pyramid stage at Glastonbury, had his own night in Ibiza.... and that's hardly mentioning much.

His iconic imprint 'Underwater Records' will always be regarded as one of the most prolific imprints of its generation.

Detone, his second imprint, founded to showcase the next generation of techno talent, still continues its mission...

His latest brainchild ‘Distant Planet’ looks set to solidify Emerson’s legacy as an innovator and will see him showcase his own productions, amongst other forward-thinking techno from the world’s elite.

Carl Cox still regards him as an all time favourite continues to add him on the stellar line-ups at his Intec shows.

Emerson continues set dance floors alight as a DJ. His latest project with Danny Howells and Dave Seaman - as DJ trio '3D' is already starting to catch fire, with the guys soon set to play a new 6 date tour of Latin America.

In the know Emerson fans, can take comfort that ‘White Lamp’ is finally set to become a thing this year.

And with his new live mix album slated for September and a Distant Planet showcase already being prepared at ADE, Emerson looks like he's on-course to reach the big time - yet again. There could be nobody more humble or deserving in our opinion.
